Important Information about the Sara Anderson School of Dance
Uniform Requirements
All ballet uniforms can either be purchased directly from Sara Anderson School of Dance or from PW Dancewear at The Colombo.
Specific uniform requirements will be given to you when you enrol.
Students' hair must be off the face and secured for all classes. This is to eliminate any unwanted distractions and to allow all students to feel like a dancer. The specific hairstyle depends on the type of class. Sara can advise you on hairsyles.
Annual Showcase Performance
Every year at the end of Term 1 the Sara Anderson School of Dance puts on an exciting showcase performance in the Papa Hou Theatre at the Christchurch YMCA
We endeavour to make this event as big as possible and it gives the students a feel for what being in a theatre is like and to catch the performing bug! It's a very exciting time.

Prices
Prices start from $115 (GST inclusive) per term with discounts available for children from the same family. Our prices are based on class length and the number of dance lessons per week.
If you
fill out a booking enquiry here we will be in touch to let you know the price for the class you are interested in attending.
Parents & Siblings in Class
Generally we welcome parents and siblings in the studio to watch and observe your child, especially for the
preschool dance classes.
However, we ask that you keep noise to a minimum to avoid distraction or you may be asked to wait outside in our comfortable waiting space.
Water is allowed in the studio space but no other drinks or food is allowed. You may go outside the studio to consume this.
Robert Harris Cafe is located in the same building as our studio and that can also be a good place to wait. There is a toy box there which is great for younger children.
